The seventh-grade Lake Forest Middle School Lady Bruins basketball team hosted the Chilhowee Middle School Lady Bobcats on Tuesday night, winning a squeaker by a final score of 27-26.
A back-and-forth game found coach Laura Elder’s Lady Bruins at the end with a few second left on the clock. Emily Peterson took control of the ball and scored the buzzer-beating winning shot for the Lady Bruins.
The seventh- and eighth-grade Lady Bruins will try to continue their reign on the court next week.
