The Common Threads quilt show was held Oct. 12 and 13 at the Mount Olive Church of God Family Ministries Center to benefit selected charities in the Cleveland-Bradley County area.

Presentations were given at the annual Thanksgiving Dinner held Nov. 5 at the Sewing Corner on Harrison Pike.

The Opportunity Quilt was won by Marilyn Dunn. Crystal Lee, a resident of Wellington Place, was the winner of the Quilt Show Quilt and Martha Stevison captured the Viewer’s Choice award for her quilt.

Receiving donations were five local organizations: $1,000 each to Mount Olive Church, The Caring Place and Boys & Girls Clubs; and $500 each to Bears to Hug fire department program and New Hope Pregnancy Center.
