Paul Ray Brown, 80, of Crandall, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at home.

He was born on June 9, 1932, in Ranger, N.C., to the late Freed Brown and Pearl Craig Brown.

He was an electrician with Browning Manufacturing Co. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member at Farner Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Sue Hall Brown, of Crandall; children: Karen Brown of Crandall, Carmen Rogers of Prince George, Va., Kevin Brown of Hampton, Ga., and Kelly Legg of Rocky Face, Ga.; brothers: Glen Brown of Dalton, Ga., Bobby Brown of Rocky Face and Johnny Brown of Cohutta, Ga.; grandchildren: Matthew Rogers, Natalie Rogers, Casey Brown, Hannah Legg, Ethan Brown, Claire Brown, Lexie Legg and Ava Brown; and great-grandchildren: Connor Brown, Bianca Suggs, Madelyn Rogers and Bohdi Rogers.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 13, 2012, from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel.

Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 4 until the funeral hour of 7 p.m.
