In honor of our veterans, the library has two display areas on the second floor showcasing books written by veterans or about veterans. The display case in the reference area is called “My Husband’s War” and is about the Viet Nam War.

The other veterans display case, located in the Galleria, contains books from World War I and II. These books are available for checkout and will be displayed through the month of November.

The Scholastic Book Fair will begin Dec. 3 and continue through Dec. 10 in the Children’s Room. Each year this book fair brings books for all ages at greatly reduced prices. Stop by and look and give the gift of reading to someone. Besides books there will be other items that can be used as stocking stuffers. All monies raised from this Book Fair will be used to purchase additional books for our Children’s collection.

Family Game Night will be Nov. 26 in the Community Room at 7 p.m. Enjoy video and board games with the whole family.

The last Lego Club meeting for the year will be Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room for ages 7 through 11.

The Tween Art Zone will meet Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m. for ages 6 through 12. Tween Science Zone will meet Nov. 30 at 4:30 p.m. for ages 8 through 12.

The library will be closed Nov. 22 and 23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
