The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s aid in finding a 17-year-old girl, who may have left the area with her boyfriend.

According to detective Joe Price, Hailey Morgan was last seen by her father leaving for school around 7 a.m. Thursday.

“She never arrived at school and did not arrive for work at her parents’ business, where she was expected at 4:30 that afternoon,” Price noted.

Morgan is described as being 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair.

She has a butterfly tattoo on her right foot.

According to information released by PCSO’s investigation division, Morgan’s boyfriend is Nathaniel R. Patterson, 20. He is described as being 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He has black hair and hazel eyes.

“Morgan’s father told the investigators he had gone to the home of Patterson, where both Hailey and Nathan’s cell phones were found,” Price said.

She was last seen driving a 2010 white Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep is an Islander Edition with a black hard top and large tires. Each front fender has a Tiki man and the word “Islander” in gold lettering.

A tire cover on the vehicle has a flower and the script — “Life is good.”

Anyone having information concerning the two’s whereabouts or other information is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 338-8215.

- Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints in Polk County beginning this weekend.

The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county.

According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the drivers license laws of the state.

All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
