Vergie Marie Moses, 81, of Benton, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, as a resident of Signature Health Care.

Born May 10, 1931, in Madisonville, to the Rev. Johnny Jenkins and Emma Headrick Jenkins, she was the baby of 13 children, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked off and on as a seamstress for many years and raised her children after the loss of her husband at a young age.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. Moses; and granddaughter, her first namesake, Breanna Marie Moses; and parents, Johnny Jenkins and Emma Headrick Jenkins.

She is survived by son, Fred Moses of Gainesville, Ga.; daughters: Charlotte Garrett of Chattanooga, Shirley Bright and (Ben) of Benton, and Beverly Link and (David) of Cleveland; and 12 grandchildren, Freddie Moses, Clay Moses, Jon Moses, Van Brannon, Tonia Black, Jonathan Brannon, Nikki Mason, Wes Bright, Jarai Bright, Jill Childers, Corey Link and Lauren Link.
