Ruth Ann Sears Meador, 68, completed her earthly journey to her new home in Heaven on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.

She was born May 12, 1944, at Sophia, W.Va.

She was a daughter of the late Edward E. and Irene Wyatt Sears.

She loved painting, crocheting, arts and crafts, and collecting items with strawberries on them.

She was a member of the Pine Hill Church of God in McDonald.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon D. Meador; and a brother, Clinton Sears.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Danita Swafford and husband, Donald, of Riceville; son, Dennis Meador and wife, Diana, of Hobbs, N.M.; daughter, Kimberly Bohm and husband, James, of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters: Russell Sears of Glen White, W.Va., Daniel Sears Sr., of Kyser, W.Va., Connie Permelia of Crab Orchard, W.Va., Vernon Sears of Bolt, W.V. and Timothy Sears of Lexington, N.C.

Friends may gather with the family from 4 p.m. to 7 this evening Nov. 19, 2012 at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley-Sophia, W.Va. with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 7 p.m. with Bishop Roy Dale Martin officiating.

A graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Those wishing to attend are asked to gather at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
