He was member of Prospect Church of God of Cleveland.
He is survived by wife, Beatrice Harden Hughes; two children: Darlene Looney of Athens and Dale Hughes of Cleveland; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers: Bill Hughes, Sammy Hughes and Donnie Hughes; sisters: Faye Cofer, Barbara Hooker, Kay Stokes and Ina Stokes; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. .
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
