She was the oldest member of Central Church of Christ.
She was a homemaker; she loved gardening and enjoyed feeding her wild birds. She lived a full and productive life up until the end of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Gobble; parents, Jess and Nora Elkins Trotter; and great-grandson, Cody Smith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Judy Gobble; and daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Harry Douglas, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Tim Gobble and wife, Christie, Steve Douglas and wife, Kay, Tony Gobble and wife, Ginger, Lisa Douglas Smith and husband, Tucker, Taylor Gobble and wife, Terra, all of Cleveland and Tyler Gobble of Chattanooga; 10 great-grandchildren: Christopher Gobble, Courtney Gobble, Caitlyn Gobble, Megan Gobble, Michaela Gobble, Emma Gobble, Grey Gobble, Kaley Smith, Brent Douglas and Michael Ellis.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Minister Tom Harrison and Ted Gobble officiating.
Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Tim, Tony, Taylor and Tyler Gobble, Steve Douglas and Tucker Smith serving as pallbearers.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Central Church of Christ Mission Fund or to the American Heart Association.
