Roy Parks Farmer, 85, of Cleveland, stepped into the loving presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.

He retired from Bradley Central High School in 1993 after 37 years of service as a beloved biology teacher and principal. He enjoyed flying and was a volunteer with the Cleveland Police Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Farmer; and parents, Gus and Addie Trotter Farmer.

He is survived by his son, Roy P. Farmer II and wife, Jeanetta, of Cleveland; grandchildren: Amy Honaker and husband, Randy, of Tampa, Fla., and Abigayil Abraham of Cleveland; and great-grandchildren: Victoria Ann Honaker and Nathan Macht Honaker.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Grissom Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 Friday at the funeral home.

The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.
