Library Corner: Bonlife Coffee to open in the library on Dec. 1

Cleveland’s Bonlife Coffee is coming to the library beginning Dec. 1. In addition to offering the finest farmer-direct coffees from around the world, the coffee shop will offer also specialty teas, smoothies, sodas, an assortment of fresh baked goods and a selection of fair trade products supporting artisans both locally and across the globe. Stop by and support our newest partner.

December computer classes are available for reservations. All classes require a $5 refundable deposit and are free of charge to all patrons with a valid library card on a first come basis.

Basic Computers: Dec. 3 and 5, 10 a.m. to noon; Intermediate Computers: Dec. 18 and 20, 3 to 5 p.m.; Beginning Email: Dec. 17 and 19, 10 a.m. to noon; Basic Internet: Dec. 10 and 12, 10 a.m. to noon; Microsoft PowerPoint: Dec. 11 and 13, 3 to 5 p.m.; Microsoft Word: Dec. 4 and 6, 3 to 5 p.m.

There will be a Resume Writing Workshop on Dec. 6 and 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. Also Ebook reader workshops for Kindles on Dec. 8, iPads/iOS on Dec. 14 and Barnes & Noble Nooks on Dec. 22 from noon to 2 p.m.

The Scholastic Book Fair will begin Dec. 3 and continue through Dec. 10 in the Children’s Room. Each year this book fair brings books for all ages at greatly reduced prices. Stop by and look and give the gift of reading to someone. Besides books there will be other items that can be used as stocking stuffers. All monies raised from this Book Fair will be used to purchase additional books for our Children’s collection.

Family Game Night will be Monday in the Community Room at 7 p.m. Enjoy video and board games with the whole family.

Tweens will be having their Artzone, ages 7 through 12, on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and their ScienceZone, age 9 through 12, on Nov. 30 at 4:30 .pm. These events are age specific.

The library will be closed on Dec. 24, 25 and 26 in observance of the Christmas Holidays and on Jan. 1 for New Years’s Day.
