He will be on hand Wednesday, 10 am. to 3 p.m., at Lee University’s Student Union Building to greet friends and to autograph his book.
The book describes in detail life in rural America between the two great wars — World War I and World War II. This period of the 1920s and 1930s was a distinct period in the nation’s history and is carefully reviewed by Delk, who lived through most of those years.
Delk, who is 90, has 57 years in education and administration.
He was a professor at Lee College from 1954 to 1960. He taught Bible and public speaking.
After spending 30 years in education/administration in Illinois, he returned to Cleveland in 1990.
From 1991 to 2012, he taught public speaking at Cleveland State Community College.
At Lee, he will be located on the main floor of the Student Union Building, just outside the campus book store.
“Memories of Yesteryear” makes an excellent Christmas gift for older family members, noted Delk.
The autographed hard-back copy of the book is $18.
