A rabies clinic will be offered at Cohutta Feed & Supply on Friday, Dec. 7, from noon to 4 p.m.

The business is located at 115 Cohutta-Beaverdale Road in Cohutta, Ga. The clinic will be offered on the side of the building facing Dalton Pike.

A licensed Georgia veterinarian will be on-site providing the vaccinations. The rabies vaccines are intended for dogs, cats, ferrets, horses, cattle and sheep.

The cost will be $15 for a three-year rabies vaccine; $5 for puppies or kittens less than 1 year old as their first vaccine; and $10 for horses. All rabies vaccines are given on-site.

All dogs must be on a leash. All cats and ferrets must be in a container.

The state of Georgia accepts three-year vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets. Large animal vaccinations are good for one year. Tags are not required. Vaccination certificates will be provided.
