Bradley County was the fourth of four partners to pay $2 million, or one-third of the $6 million debt obligation, including interest, beginning in fiscal year 2016.
All parties have now signed the Memorandum of Agreement between the Industrial Development Board, the city, county and Cleveland Utilities for the acquisition of real property for Spring Branch Industrial Park.
The Cleveland City Council approved the following consent agenda items:
n Final passage of Zoning Ordinance 2012-23 to rezone property at 2412 Wolfe Drive N.W. from Single and Multifamily Residential (R2) to Commercial Highway (CH);
n Final Passage of Zoning Ordinance 2012-25 to rezoning property at 105 Edwards St. S.E. from Heavy Industry (IH) to Central Business District (CBD);
n Resolution 2012-118 approving the 2012 Emergency Solutions Grant application to the Tennessee Housing Development Agency;
n Resolution 2012-119 authorizing the purchase and transfer of property at 20th Street S.E. and Foster Lane with Community Development Block Grant funds;
n Resolution 2012-120 dedicating two areas of land as right-of-way for the Whirlpool State Industrial Access Project;
n Resolution 2012-121 proposing an access street cut on Paul Huff Parkway near Mouse Creek Road;
n Resolution 2012-123 amending the agreement with the Boys & Girls Club by adding 15 hours total to its part-time employees for the Positive Action Program funded by the Targeted Community Crime Reduction Grant;
n Reappointed Hiawatha Brown, Pat Ensley and Bernadette Douglas to the Parks Advisory Board for a three-year term to expire December 2015;
n Reappointed Anne Jones to the Fletcher Park Board for a three-year term to expire December 2015; and appointed Bernadette Douglas to the Fletcher Park Board for a three-year term to expire December 2015.
The next Council meeting will be Jan. 14, 2013. The City Council Strategic Planning meeting will be held earlier that morning beginning at 8 a.m.
City Offices will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
The City Clerk’s office will be open normal business hours on Dec. 31 to accept tax payments.
