A free Christmas concert will be performed by Jim Ricketts and Crystle Elam today at 6 p.m. at New Liberty Baptist Church, 13746 Birchwood Pike, Birchwood.

A Christmas Musical, “Down From His Glory,” the love story of Christmas, will be presented today at 6 p.m. by the combined choirs of East Cleveland Baptist Church.

A Christmas RECITAL will be presented at the Dixon Center on Monday by students of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Fine Arts Academy at 6 p.m.

Teens will meet on Tuesday at the library for an Ornament Exchange and Christmas Caroling afterwards. Bring a creative or homemade ornament for this exchange. Snacks and hot chocolate will be served at this 4:30 p.m. gathering.

The United Club will meet Tuesday for its Christmas meeting. Bonnie Wilson will give the Christmas story. The meeting will be held at Golden Corral at 11:30 a.m.

“Sounds of the Season” will continue each Wednesday until Christmas in the Cleveland Bradley Community Room of the library from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This week’s featured artist will be pianist Martha Lessig. Hot cider will be served while you enjoy a break from work or the holiday rush and listen to seasonal piano music being played by one of our guest pianists. The public is invited to this free event.

A “Christmas Carol” will be shown in the Community Room on Wednesday at 7 p.m. This free event is open to the public and popcorn will be served.

A library tour wil be given on Thursday at 4 p.m., beginning in the lobby for those interested in seeing the behind-the-scene places and learning the history of the library. The tour lasts about 45 minutes.

Children can read to some canine friends — Chelsea, Wendy and Tux — during K9 Story Time from 6 until 7 p.m. on Dec. 29. Meet in the Children’s Room to participate in this program.

Calico Squares group dances in the second floor Community Room at the Garden Plaza of Cleveland, 3500 Keith St. N.W., every Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more information, call Teresa at 479-7790.

The Tennessee Chamber Chorus to present “When Old Becomes New: Christmas Through the Ages” at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Monday at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Cameron LaBarr is director and conductor.
