Cleveland Dart Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2598 members present a $2,045 check and toys for the annual Toys For Tots campaign by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. More than 3,945 children from Bradley County were registered to receive Christmas from the military service. Before participating with the Toys For Tots program, the Dart Association adopted children from Salvation Army Angel Trees. The organization was independent in 1999 and formed its own Darts For Tots toy drive and served up to 22 families from Bradley County. In 2009, the Dart club began supporting the Marine Reserves program. In the photo is Cpl. Andrew Sprague, Mike Battery 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines. Sprague is active duty on assignment as an inspector instructor at the Chattanooga-based unit. Second from the right is the Veteran of the Year and VFW Post 2598 Past Commander Terry Avery. On the far right is 3rd VFW District Commander Jack Phillips.
