Denver Maddux, 38, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the family residence.

He was a former employee with Wholesale Supply in Chatsworth, Ga., with more than 14 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tony and Lena Maddux.

He was an avid fisherman, fishing in many local tournaments and loved to sing and pick the guitar with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sonya Maddux; sons: Tyler Maddux and his wife, Candace, Nathan Maddux and his wife, Lauren, Kevin Maddux and Joseph Maddux, all of Cleveland; his mother, Karen Maddux of Old Fort; his father, Sidney Maddux of Cleveland; brothers: Derrick Maddux and his wife, Jeana, Brandon and his wife, Sherry, all of Old Fort; sister, Heather Gulledge and her husband, Eric, of Cleveland; soon-to-be grandson, Blakely Maddux; grandparents: Peggy Ann Green of Cisco, Ga., Earl Green of Tennga, Ga.; mother-in-law, Linda Gatlin; father-in-law, Dale Gatlin; sister-in-law, Ronda Rymer; brother-in-law, Larry Rymer, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Scotty Martin and evangelist David Hicks officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 this evening at the funeral home.
