Monica Myrilee Bain Allen, 62, a resident of Cleveland, formally of Nassau, Bahamas, went home to be with the Lord, Friday evening, Dec. 28, 2012.

She was a member of Hopewell Church of God in Cleveland, and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

She attended public school in Alicetown Eleuthera, Bahamas and was a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, obtaining a bachelor science degree in 1991.

She was employed for more than 14 years at Lowes Hardware as a customer representative.

She was a very friendly person, she met no strangers and was a true people person.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Laura Bain; one sister, Olga Nimmo; and two brothers: Harrison Bain and Roger Bain.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Larry Allen of Cleveland; three sisters: Erma Williams, Lerlene Carey and Jennifer Bain, all of the Bahamas; two brothers: Herman Bain Jr., and Edison Bain; and very dear friend of the family, Margaret Gilbert of Cleveland.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Hopewell Church of God on Eureka Road in Cleveland with pastor Jerry Millwood officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
