Taylors Family and Community Education Club met Jan. 3 at the home of Joan Bryson.

The noon meeting was opened by Ruby Ball with a reading from “Treasures of Life” and from Scripture, Matthew 19:21.

The roll call was answered with a question: “What did you do with your used Christmas cards?”

Club members discussed decorating plans, also, for the Valentine Banquet in February.

Others present included Swanola McKeehan, Mary Bagley, Mary Ann Cornelius, Loretta Walker, Oleta Ownby, Vergie Toomey and Pauline Cartwright.

MOMs Club to hold open house

The MOMs Club of Cleveland will be hosting their annual membership open house on Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. at the YMCA.

If you are a stay at home mom looking for an active group of friends for fellowship, play dates, community service projects, moms night out, book club, how-to discussions, field trips, family events and much more.

The yearly dues are $20 a year. Child care is provided at the YMCA child watch for free.

SABC Horsemen to meet Jan. 27

The Southern Appalachian Back Country Horsemen will meet Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Tri-State Exhitition Center.

Veterinarian Arlynn Blazer will present the program.
