William “Bill” Franklin Ledford, 71, of Cleveland, passed away at his home on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.

He was born on Feb. 20, 1941, to the late Garrett and Raddie Ledford.

He was a resident of Cleveland for 50 years, after moving here from Copperhill. He was of the Baptist faith.

He graduated from Copper Basin High School and retired from Cleveland Utilities after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything else having to do with the outdoors.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jakie Ledford.

He is survived by one daughter, Christy Hicks (Howell) of Cleveland; two sons, William Robbie Ledford of Pikeville and Ronnie Ledford (Rosemary) of Ocoee; one sister, Ann Atchley (Gary) of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Jacob Ledford of Madisonville, Cassie and Nathaniel Atchley, Heather and Jessica Ledford, all of Cleveland; one great-grandson, Reece Young of Cleveland; niece, Amanda Stewart, nephew, Christopher Botts and great-nephew, Isaiah Branam, all of Cleveland.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Stuart Park Baptist Church located at 850 17th Street N.W., Cleveland TN 37311.

The funeral will be held at the church on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Ledford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mobile Cemetery in McCaysville, Ga., with Dustin Anderson, Rex Atchley, Chris Stewart, Randy Pickelsimer, John Hatcher, and Nathan Runyon serving as pallbearers.
