The Wildkittens fell behind 26-16 after the first quarter before battling back in the second to close the gap to 36-29. The ’Kittens held the Lady ’Skins to only four third-quarter points but still trailed 40-39 after three quarters. The fourth period was all Lady Redskins. The host team added 16 points to Polk’s three to take the win.
Riley Hatcher led the Wildkittens with 17 points. Emily Watson added 13 for Polk.
The Wildcats led 19-15 after the first eight minutes, but only scratched out nine in the second and trailed 33-28 at halftime. Polk opened up offensively for 22 points in the third bu still trailed 58-50 after three quarters. The Redskins held off the Wildcats the rest of the way in outscoring the visitors 15-12 to lock up the win.
