He was born on June 2, 1946, to the late Joseph and Rena Rogers.
He was a resident of Cleveland for the past 50 years, coming from Apison.
He was a man of great integrity. The Golden Rule was his motto to live by.
He was affiliated with Cornerstone Church of God and a devoted member to the Men Anywhere Ministries. He donated a lot of time and volunteered with the ministry in many different capacities.
He was also an avid golfer and great woodworker. Above all of these, however, he was a caring husband, devoted father, and loving grandfather.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by brother, Marvin Rogers; and sister, Joyce Rogers Suits.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years, Doris Kennedy Rogers; daughter, Kimberley Lee Lunsford (Brentin Seth); son, Vincent Rogers (Tracy); sister, Dorothy Ann Rogers Suits; grandchildren: Jordan McCall Rogers and Alexis Skye “Lexie” Lunsford; and several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cornerstone Church of God, 2823 S. Lee Highway, Cleveland TN 37311.
The family will have a memorial service at the church, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at 7 p.m., following the visitation, with the Rev. Rick Sentell officiating.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs Painter Unit in Ronald’s name.
