He was born on Sunday, Jan. 21, 1945, in McMinn County. He was a son of the late James W. Ingram Sr. and Edith Minge Hickey.
After retiring from the U.S. Navy with 24 years of service, he became a mail carrier for the U.S. Post.
Surviving is his wife, Kay F. Ingram; two daughters: Cynthia I. Meadows and husband, James, of Forest and Sandra I. Haggard and husband, Forrest, of Ukiah, Ore.; son, Harold Blount and wife, Beth, of San Diego; sister, Doris Forgey Walker and husband, Johnny, of Tennessee; brother, James W. Ingram Jr. and wife, Martha of Tennessee; five grandchildren: Jason, Jessica, Devon, Madeline and Taylor; and three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Leigha and Grayson.

A memorial service with military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 16 will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Updike Funeral Chapel in Bedford, Va.
American Legion Post No. 16 Chaplain, Bob Johnson will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bedford.
