Betty Jo Hudgins Mulkey, 65, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, in a Chattanooga health care facility.
She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Mulkey; parents, Jessie Andrew Hudgins and Joy Cordell Hudgins; children: David Dewayne Partin and Tammy Elizabeth Partin; and sister, Brenda Fay Hudgins.
She is survived by four children: James Earl and wife, Carrie Partin, of Decatur, Jeffrey Lamar and wife, Victoria Lee, of Cleveland, Phyllis Ann Crowder of Old Fort, and Ronnie Eugene Carter of Cleveland; two sisters: Marjorie Verner of Ducktown and Lucille Cross of Ellijay, Ga.; two stepbrothers: Gene Hudgins and David Dawson Jr.; two stepsisters: Susie Hudgins and Jo Ann Hudgins, all of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren: Jeffrey Lee, Christopher Partin, Brandon Partin, Maria Abeyta, Rickey Burke, Angel Burke, Amy Gibson, Britton Crowder, Samantha Crowder and Terry Crowder; several nieces and nephews; and the Crowder family of Tellico Plains.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Harwell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with Jeff Lee, James Fuller, Christopher Partin, Brandon Partin, Britton Crowder and Lucas Stinnett serving as pallbearers.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
