He was of Baptist faith. He was a retiree of Bowater with 32 years of service and he enjoyed working with old cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hattie Maney Randolph; son, Scottie (Moon) Randolph; sisters: Barbara Randolph, Loretta Melton and Evelyn Womac; and brothers: Russell and Jerry Randolph.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Talley Randolph; son, Randall Randolph; stepdaughter, Angie Crowder and husband, Lloyd Jr.; two stepgrandchildren: Brody J. Lewis and Hannah E. Crowder, who were his pride and joy; sister, Charlotte Newman of Cleveland; brother, Melvin Randolph of Decatur; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ross officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
