The annual “Stitches in Time” quilt show will open Saturday at the Museum Center at Five Points. Sponsored in part by First Tennessee Bank, the quilts will be on display from 1 to 3 p.m.

The number of quilts this year have topped more than 90 beautiful creations — from antiques to small wall hangings and even large bed quilts. Visitors will be invited to vote for their favorite quilt for the Viewer’s Choice award.

These fantastic, artist creations will be on display until March 9.

The Museum Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Museum Center will hold a class, also, on making quilted trivets on Feb. 16.

All the supplies are included to make your first trivet and you can take home patterns to make these great creations on your own! Class starts at 10 a.m. and is $8 members and $10 for nonmembers. For more information about “Stitches in Time,” as well as the lectures and classes being offered throughout the show, call the Museum Center at 339-5745.
