The importance of quality in our daily lives was the presentation to the Cleveland Civitan Club at its Wednesday’s noon lunch meeting. Phil Brown, a senior member and treasurer of the American Society of Quality in Knoxville and member of ASQ in Chattanooga, gave a brief summary on the history of ASQ. The ASQ is the world’s leading organization for quality and quality professionals. Its website states, “ASQ is a global community of people passionate about quality, who use the tools, their ideas and expertise to make our world work better.” Brown also serves as co-treasurer of Cleveland Civitan.
