Jack, as he was known to friends, was the son of the late Eunice Wise Miller and Bascom Lee Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Louise Miller; his sister, Annie Merle Miller; and his brother, Franklin D. Miller.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a roofer most of his life and he retired from Parris Roofing after many years of service. He loved being with his family and being a grandfather!
He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters: Elaine Shaw of Collegedale, and Lorie Caldwell and her husband, David, of Cleveland; his son, Bill Miller Jr. and his wife, Theresa of Ocoee; eight grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; his sister, Mary Frances Harrold and her husband, Berlie, of McKinney, Texas; brothers: Leamon Lee Miller, Jimmy Mille,r both of Sampson, Ala., and Benny Ray Miller of Huntsville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. T. M. Shaw and the Rev. Donald Ross officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Military honors will be given.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
