The second annual Raider Rally volleyball tournament took place Saturday at the Cleveland Middle School and Cleveland High School gymnasiums. The junior varsity division, held at CHS, saw the Lady Raiders get wins over Chilhowee, Lake Forest, and the Chattanooga Warriors in pool play, seeding them first place going into bracket play. They faced their very own CMS sixth-grade team in the first round of the tournament and East Hamilton in the semifinals, both matches with a 2-0 set record.

The Lady Raiders went on to face the Spring City Bulldogs in the championship match coming out with the first-place title and an undefeated match record for the day.

“Today was a team effort for sure,” said assistant coach Trish Flowers. “I am so proud of how well the girls played. Everyone contributed to today’s success, and every girl had a moment where they shined for us. It has been a fun day for sure!”
