He was born in North Arlington, N.J., on Jan. 28, 1938, a son of the late George and Helen Barton.
He lived the majority of his life in the New Jersey area until relocating to Ocoee approximately 10 years ago.
He was a veteran of the United State Air Force and received an honorable discharge after serving his country. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revelation. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending his spare time studying different theologies and comparative religions.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Veronica Springer and her husband, Conrad, and Rita Barton; and a brother, George Barton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 30 years, Angelina Meola Barton; daughter, Michelle Webb of Cleveland; sons: Edward Barton and wife, Krisit, of Ocoee and John Barton of Maryville; brother, Lester Barton (Rosa) of Oklahoma; grandchildren: Rebecca Webb Sullivan and husband, Rodney and Brandon Webb and wife, Melissa, both of Cleveland; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other extended family members and friends.
The Barton family invites family and friends to join them for a memorial gathering on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the family home, 1774 Old Federal Road in Ocoee.
