He was born in Bronx, N.Y. on Nov. 1, 1927, a son of Jorge and Mary Escarra.
He had made Soddy Daisy his home for the past seven years. He was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. He was retired from Aero Thurst Corporation.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Mary Antonieta Escarra; one daughter, Marlene Miranda; two sons: Robert Escarra and George Escarra: stepson, Erick Escarra and wife, Debbie; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two siblings; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2377 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37407, with Pastor Sergio Gutierez officiating.
