Cayce Bryan added to her All-American total by earning the Lady Flames five team points with a fourth place finish in the 800 Meter Run. Bryan knocked eight seconds off her qualifying time of 2:21.99 to post a time of 2:13.45 in the final.
Junia Limage of Concordia University (Ore.) was the winner at 2:09.75. Sophie Tonneau (Lindsey Wilson College) was second (2:11.64) and Southern University-New Orleans’ Mackola Joseph was third (2:12.40).
Mike Walker pushed Lee’s All-American tally to two after crossing the finish line of the 3000 Meter Run in fourth place. His time of 8:23.56 broke the school record that he had set on Friday.
Adam Godwin of Oklahoma Baptist University paced the field with a time of 8:22.26. Matthew Clowes of Concordia University (Ore.) was second and Ricky Avila of Concordia University (Calif.) was third with a time of 8:22.86.
Lee’s last event of the day belonged to Brad Davis. Davis recorded a time of 22.10 in the 200 Meter Dash to give Lee its third NAIA All-American honor of the day. Wayland Baptist University’s Gregory Turner took home the championship with a 21.04 mark.
The outdoor season will kick into gear on March 22 when the Flames and Lady Flames head to Atlanta to participate in the Emory Invitational.
