Students learned that a healthy lifestyle impacts their future. A “Go Day Celebration” was held at the completion of the course and the cafeteria staff prepared fresh low-fat, nutritious snacks, including wheat crackers with low-fat string cheese, fresh broccoli, carrot sticks, and grape tomatoes with lite ranch dip. And for the sweet side: strawberries, apple and orange slices, and low-fat berry flavored yogurt, all chased down with chilled bottled water.
The event proved once again that students can “party” without cake and soda. Additionally, students enjoyed music and fun activities such as: hula-hoops, jumpropes and dancing.
