Missoula Children’s Theatre has been rehearsing local youngsters all week for its production of “The Wizard of Oz. “ Two presentations will be given on Saturday at the Museum Center at Five Points.
The nonprofit organization based in Missoula, Mont., has cast approximately 50-60 local students in grades K-12 in the show.
The students are rehearsing every evening all week to prepare an hour long musical production, assisted by local accompanist Knar Abrahamyan.
“The Wizard of Oz” final performances are Saturday at 3 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m at The Museum Center.
Tickets are $8 for adults (non-members of the Museum Center), $6 for adults (members) and senior, and $4 for students.
They are available from 3:45 to 8:15 p.m daily in the Museum lobby, or at the door.
The Museum Center at 5ive Points preserves and interprets the history and culture of the Ocoee District of Southeast Tennessee. The museum hosts exhibits and education programs.
The Museum Store sells Appalachian arts and crafts from the region.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday, Monday, and holidays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and free for children under five years. Groups of 12 or more are $4 each.
The museum is free the first Saturday of every month. Members of the Museum Center receive free admission to exhibits.
