Bradley County officials are conducting several theft and burglary investigations that have been reported during the past few days.

According to a report filed by deputy Robert Jones of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, he was dispatched to a Woodlawn Street address where the theft of a minibike had occurred.

Ronnie Rogers said someone took his son’s Doodle Bug minibike sometime this week.

Rogers believes the bike was taken either Tuesday or Wednesday.

The small motorcycle was described as being red with a black seat.

According to the report, the property was valued at $300.

- Sgt. Shane McKee of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on burglary charges this week after he was allegedly caught climbing out a window at a home.

Donnie Melton of a George Street address said he had been in the hospital. When he was discharged and returned home Wednesday, he found Michael Thomas Martin exiting his home through a window.

McKee had been dispatched to a “burglary in progress” call and when he arrived on the scene at George Street he was able to obtain the identity of the suspect.

Martin was taken into custody after it was learned he was attempting to take four bags of aluminum cans, according to McKee.

Martin was charged with aggravated burglary and transported to the Bradley County Jail for booking.

- Deputy Kolby Duckett filed a report for a man who said someone had stolen gas from his vehicle.

James Beshears said the theft occurred between 11 p.m. March 14 and 7:15 p.m. March 15.

His vehicle had been parked at 4920 Old Georgetown Trail when the theft reportedly occurred.

According to Beshears, the fuel was valued at $65.
