Jnettie Strickland Davis, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, in a local health care facility.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Roxie Strickland; her husband, Virgil Davis; sisters: Beatrice Green, Sue Roe and Charlene Richardson; and a brother, J.R. Strickland.

She was retired as a seamstress working at Jackson Manufacturing and Cleveland Chair.

She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Mason; a granddaughter, Melissa Mason Stevens; and her husband, Tom, of Murfreesboro; and a great-grandson, Trevor Stevens; sisters: Ethel Michael of Spring City, Opal Casteel of Athens, Nina Cartwright of Cleveland, Annie Stanton of Riceville and Francis White of Benton; her brother, Taylor Strickland of Winder, Ga.; and 34 nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. today, March 27, 2013, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Minister Doyle Partin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery with Jonathan and Jeremy Cartwright, Martin and Danny Stanton, Daniel White, Wayne Richardson, Jimmy Strickland, Cecil Michaels and Gary Rymer serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
