The annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast is just around the corner and set for Saturday, April 6, at the Bald Headed Bistro.

Members will be serving pancakes, sausuage, juice, milk and coffee from 7 to 10:30 a.m. for $6 with children 6 and under eating free. This year they are offering $1 off of the ticket price with a donatin of canned goods the morning of the breakfast. These items will be given to The Caring Place for distribution to our community.

Mayfield Dairies, Life Care and Cooke’s Food Store have donated their products to make this event a success for all the charities supported by the Cleveland Kiwanis club.

The Village Green and The Bald Headed Bistro contribute to the event by supplying the venue and the kitchen facilities. Kingsway Press owner and Kiwanis member Vince McLaughlin prints the tickets and other items throughout the year for the club.

All donations of food, advertising and free labor helps the Kiwanis to keep the price down so that the event could remain a family friendly meal again this year.

“It is a time for the whole town to have breakfast together while contributing to the children’s programs in our community,” said Kiwanis president Chris Newton.

The Kiwanis motto is “Serving Children of the World”. Local children benefit from Kiwanis donations such as 4H clubs, Boys and Girls Club, Head Start , Key Clubs at CHS and WVHS, Builder’s Club and CMS, Foundation Scholarships, as well as Unicef’s Eliminate Project. The Eliminate Project is providing vaccines for the prevention of maternal and neonatal tetanus throughout the world.
