Carolyn Lee Arwood Shamblin, 64, of Charleston, died Thursday morning, April 4, 2013, at her home.

A native of Roane County, she was a former resident of Calhoun and resided in Charleston for the past 18 years.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Bonnie Melton Arwood.

She was a former employee with Pioneer Chair Co. She was a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church of Calhoun.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Kenny Shamblin of Charleston; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Robbie Wood of Charleston, Tony Wood and wife, Janice, of Ten Mile, Dennis Wood of Charleston and Jason Shamblin and wife, Tiffany of Calhoun; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters and one brother-in-law: Vicky Fritts of Nashville and Pinky White and husband, James, of Ten Mile; and eight brothers and sisters-in-law: Keith Arwood of Ten Mile, Paul Arwood of Harriman, Randy Arwood and wife, Joy, of Sweetwater, Ronnie Arwood and wife, Tina, and Leslie Arwood and wife, Brenda, all of Harriman, Roger Arwood and wife, Brenda ,of Lenoir City, Steve Arwood and wife, Jessica, of Knoxville and Don Arwood and wife, Josephine, of Paint Rock.

The funeral will be held at 7 tonight, April 5, 2013, at Ziegler Funeral Home in Athens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
