She was born on Dec. 12, 1966, to Romeo and Isabel Fernandez in Palawan, Philippines.
She was known for her love of music and enjoyed singing and dancing. In addition to this, she loved to cook. She was always happy and in great spirits and will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her as a very kind and upbeat person. She was a part of the FIL-AM organization both in the Cleveland and Chattanooga branches.
Above all, she was a loving spouse and mother who will be greatly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Romeo; and her step-father.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Daniel Fanning; five children: Daniel Douglass, James Douglass, Jeannie-Lea Douglass, DebraAnne Smith (Forrest) and Jackie-Lynn Douglass; two step-children: Robert Daniel Fanning and Brandi Ilene; and granddaughter, Jordin Anne Smith. In addition to these, she leaves behind several extended family members and friends in the Philippines, her birthplace.
The family will receive friends at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church located at 2741 Benton Pike S.E., Cleveland, Tenn., from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
A funeral will be held at the church on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Jason Cox officiating.
