Noggins Salon & Spa grand opening to be held during Spring Fling at Spring Creek

Noggins Salon & Spa will hold its grand opening weekend Friday and Saturday joining a host of weekend activities at Spring Creek Development on 25th Street/APD 40.

Owned by Lisa Burnette, Noggins Salon & Spa is next door to Cleveland Therapeutic Massage Clinic. The two join a host of specialty shops in the Spring Creek Town Center.

On April 19, the day begins at 10 a.m. when Bender Realty brings a team of Realtors and builders to Spring Creek to give tours of the residential and commercial areas and show what is available.

They will be on-site until 1 p.m., at which time Noggins Salon & Spa will stage a ribbon cutting to officially kick off the weekend grand opening.

Burnette has 23 years experience in the business. She is owner, stylist and manicurist.

A former Cleveland High cosmetology student, she worked in her first local salon while still a high school student, working as a licensed manicurist before graduating and then furthering her education for a full cosmetology license. She specializes in hair design, color and cuts.

Joining her staff at Spring Creek is an entire team of professionals, many of them with more than 20-plus years’ experience.

Donna Frazier is a stylist and extension specialist who studied cosmetology at Bradley Central High School, then attend Carole Lyden Smith Design School. With 30 years experience, she specializes in color and is a SOCAP extension expert.

Billie McDermott has 26 years experience and specializes in color. She owned and operated Main Reflections Salon from 1990 until joining the Noggins team.

Jackie Burkes, with 28 years, is a graduate of The University of Beauty and has been nicknamed the “go-to girl” for sewn in extension design and styling.

Brandi Kelton is a graduate of New Concepts School of Cosmetology. She has two years experience and specializes in styling and cuts.

Sarah Shannon, a 2011 graduate of Franklin Academy, is a former member of the management staff at Regis Corporation. When the firm closed its doors in Cleveland, she joined Noggins bringing her expertise in hair coloring and airbrush makeup styling.

Deborah Ketcham, after retiring from 30 years as a registered nurse, became a licensed nail technician in 2013 and is a graduate of Franklin Academy. She specializes in acrylic nail extensions, gel polish and pedicures.

Vanessa Merritt joined Noggins as a a nail tech, graduating from Franklin Academy of Cosmetology in 2012. She specializes in manicures, pedicures, gel polish and acrylic nail extensions.

Burnette said the “professional staff we have assembled here is a group committed to keeping up with the latest styles and trends through continuing education classes.

“We offer everything from the latest cuts and colors, to extensions, waxing and variety of nail care services. We pride ourselves in providing a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and excellent customer service to each and every client who comes through our doors.”

She said they are excited to be a part of the Spring Creek Development and look forward to serving this community for many years to come.

As part of the salon’s overall goal to promote ultimate services, Cleveland Therapeutic Massage, owned by Sharon Howard, has located adjacent the Noggins Salon & Spa.

With over 18 years’ experience in therapeutic massage, Howard brings her expertise and talents to the salon to enable them to provide the ultimate spa experience. Howard offers everything from facelift massages, to microdermabrasion, to full body exfoliation.

She also offers The Sudatonic System, which is designed to help with weight loss, decrease body fat, detoxification, circulation, stretch marks, sagging skin, reducing cellulite and dull, dry skin.

Noggins Salon & Spa and Cleveland Therapeutic Massage Clinic offer a one-stop location in Spring Creek Town Center for the ultimate in hair, nails, skin and relaxation.

Noggins Salon & Spa is open six days a week with six stylists, three nail techs and the massage therapy all in one location. Walk-ins are welcome at the salon and nail spa.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 19, a host of activities will be staged at Spring Creek including tours of the residential areas by Bender Realty, a live radio remote by Mix 104.1, refreshments, prize giveaways, sidewalk sales and more.
