Knights of Columbus present Caring Place with check

Knights of Columbus Council No. 4572, Grand Knight John Melvin, in behalf of the Council Members, presented a check of $5,000 to the Caring Place of Cleveland. Accepting the donation are Reba Terry, executive director, and Chelsea Long, resource developer of the Caring Place of Cleveland. The Caring Place is an ecumenical Christian, nonprofit organization. Its mission is to model the love of Christ by addressing basic spiritual, physical and social needs of people in Bradley County, regardless of ethnicity, age, gender or disability. The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic Men's fraternal service organization, dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. They undertake several major fundraising projects each year, most notably their Barbecue Butt Roast events for the Super Bowl and Labor Day, an annual golf tournament each May and valet services throughout the year. All proceeds are donated to charities in the community, state and nation to assist those in need.
