Jerald Windle Joyner, 73, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, April, 21, 2013, at his residence.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a carpenter and a retired Church of God minister. He was a family man and his life was all about his granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Myrtle Joyner; sister, Madeline Hooks; and brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Marilyn Joyner.

He is survived by his wife, Dorcas Crawford Joyner, of Cleveland; daughter, Sabrina Joyner-Lynn and husband, Justin, of Cleveland; son, Christopher Lael Joyner of Cleveland; granddaughters: Kaylee Joyner and Elizabeth Goggins; brother Royce Joyner and wife, Carolyn, of Cleveland; and brother-in-law, Rudolph Hooks of Belle Glade, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on today, April 25, 2013, at Westmore Church of God with the Revs. Wayne Carter, Kelvin Page and Dennis Page officiating.

His family will receive friends from 1to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
