The Polk County Education Foundation executive committee held a meeting recently to plan the annual fundraising dinner for the scholarship program on May 25.

The event will be held at the First Baptist Church in Benton. Guest speaker will be Dr. Roger Crouch, a 1958 Polk County High School graduate, who is an astronaut and has been on two space flights.

Dr. Crouch is a very entertaining speaker and will have a video of some of the space flights.

Tickets are available from any foundation member: Jane Lawson, Carolyn Gerry, Dr. Phyllis Miller, Jerry Stephens, Wilma Jean Pippenger or Matt Witt.

For more information, call Pippenger at 338-2349 or 299-0471.
