Scott Hunt, 46, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Sweetwater, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013.
He was born on May 28, and was a son of the late Bill Hunt.
He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church.
His fun-loving and great sense of humor made him a person who was loved by many. He never passed up the opportunity to help out a friend.
He was a gifted actor and writer, helping with many productions of the “Candies Hams” of Candies Creek Baptist Church. He was also a talented cook, but will be most remembered for being a loving husband and father.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Tammy Jackson Hunt; two children: Chandler Hunt and Mason Hunt: mother, Joann Quackenbush and husband, Bob; stepmother, Betty Long Hunt; father and mother-in-law, the Rev. Jimmy and Linda Jackson; three sisters: Debbie Williams (Tom), Vickie Hunt and her friend, Liza, and Lisa Kasior (Shane); one brother, Jeffrey Quackenbush and family; and several other extended family members, church family and friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Candies Creek Baptist Church, 294 Old Eureka Road in Charleston, with the Rev. Jamie Work officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday afternoon from 1 until the 4 p.m. service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Candies Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund in Scott’s memory.
