Patricia “Kaye” Henry, 75, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, May 11, 2013, following a lengthy illness.

She was a long time member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Henry; her parents, Kenneth and Mattie “May” Shackelford; her brother, Randy Shackelford; and one son, Robin “Zak” Newman, all of Meigs county.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Kaye Branham of Decatur; stepson, Steve Henry and wife, Debbie, of Memphis; two brothers: Kenny and wife, Jerry Shackelford and Mike and his wife, Tammy Shackelford, all of Decatur; seven grandchildren: Jason and Misti Branham, Jessie Branham of Decatur, Brent and Rachelle Stewart of Riverside, Calif., Andy and Jennifer Mason, Robbey and Kim Newman of Meigs County, Brian and Misty Szewczyk and Chris and Rebecca Henry, all of Hernando, Miss.; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday night, May 15,2013, at 6 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 14108 Nopone Valley Road in Decatur, with Pastor Mike Rymer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Team Aliyah fund at South East Bank or a basket will be placed at the memorial service for donations to the Team Aliyah fund.
