Award presented to producer of Caney Creek documentary

Cherel Henderson, executive director of The East Tennessee Historical Society, recently attended a viewing of “Going Home: The History of Caney Creek,” at the Museum Center at Five Points.

She presented an Award of Distinction to the documentary’s producer, Will Moore.

The Award of Distinction is presented to outstanding historical projects that promote or preserve East Tennessee History.

The Polk County Historical Society will host a free showing of the documentary on Sunday at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Benton.
