Averitt Express recognized for its customer service

COOKEVILLE — For the second straight year, Averitt Express has been honored by Chevron Lubricants with a Carrier Recognition Award. Chevron recognized Averitt for the full-service transportation provider’s dedication to customer service.

“The Carrier Recognition Awards are issued to our carrier partners who help elevate the perception of Chevron and our lubricant brands through a combination of safety, service and performance,” said Barbara Burger, vice president of supply chain and base oil with Chevron Lubricants, in a statement.

“Although our award criteria is difficult to achieve, we are very proud that so many of our carriers have met or exceeded the service levels needed to qualify. We want to congratulate all our carrier partners for the fine work they do, but in particular, our Carrier Recognition Award winners, for their exceptional performance in 2012.”

The customer service award is given to carriers that achieve “on-time” ratings of 90 percent or better for pickup and delivery of goods, with strong survey results from the locations they serve.

“Our team puts heavy emphasis on service and exceeding our customers’ expectations,” said Phil Pierce, Averitt’s executive vice president of sales.

“We’re proud of our relationship with customers like Chevron Lubricants and honored to receive this award from them.”

The Chevron Lubricants 2012 Carrier Recognition Award is one of several honors Averitt has received from customers in the past few months.

Earlier this year, Averitt was named Walmart’s 2012 Regional LTL Carrier of the Year, while automotive parts maker Dorman Products presented Averitt with its 2012 Carrier of the Year award.
