The Voices of Lee, a 16-member a capella ensemble from Lee University, will be a headlining act that evening, performing on one of the main stages located in Riverfront Park.
“We’re extremely pleased to be a part of Riverbend’s Faith and Family Night,” said Danny Murray, director of Voices.
For the past 19 years, the Voices of Lee have thrilled audiences worldwide with heart-felt, inspirational, a capella music. Thrust into the national spotlight on NBC’s “Sing-Off” competition in 2009, their second runner-up finish has brought them to the attention of thousands.
The ensemble has made a number of television appearances on shows including “Good Morning America” and Bill Gaither’s “Family Fest” and video series. They also performed during Christmas at the White House.
In January, Voices sang with Lee’s festival choir at the 57th presidential inauguration in D.C. They have also toured Europe with concerts in venues such as the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and England’s Ely Cathedral.
In addition to the concert, Voices of Lee studio recordings will be available for sale, and staff from Lee’s admissions office will be present to answer questions about the university.
