BASEBALL

LEE BASEBALL CAMPS

Lee University will host an advanced hitting/pitching/catching camp for ages 8-17 will be held July 8-10 from 9 a.m.-noon (hitting) and 1-3 p.m. (pitching/catching). BASKETBALL

FAST BREAK BASKETBALL

Fundamental basketball skills development training conducted by Vincent Yarbrough will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for the duration of the summer at Cleveland High School. Sessions will last 90 minutes. Yarbrough, a former Cleveland Blue Raider, was a 1998 McDonald’s High School All-American and was All-SEC at Tennessee. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets of the NBA. TRIPLE THREAT CAMP

The Triple Threat Basketball Camp for rising 1st-10th grade boys and girls will take place July 22-25 at Mayfield and Cleveland Middle Schools. Skills taught will vary by age group. Each session will be intense and is recommended only for players willing to work hard and improve their game. The cost for the camp is $100 with a $25 deposit to hold a spot. Groups will be divided by age with 1st-3rd graders going from 8-10 a.m. at Mayfield, 4th-6th graders from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at CMS and 7th-10th graders from 2-4 p.m. at CMS. CSCC YOUTH CAMPS

Cleveland State Men's Basketball Coach Lee Cigliano will be conducting summer youth basketball camp July 22-25 for ages 6-15. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-noon. CAMP OF CHAMPIONS

The 13th annual Camp of Champions football camp for incoming 3rd-8th graders will be held July 8-11 at Cleveland High School’s Raider Field from 9 a.m.-noon. CHS and Cleveland Middle School coaches will be instructing the camp. The camp will focus on fundamentals and techniques of playing football. The cost of the camp is $60. JUNIORS CLINIC

The Bradley County Juniors Golf Clinic for ages 5-17 will be held at Cleveland Country Club on the following dates: July 1, 22, 29. Ages 5-10 will go from 8-9:30 a.m. and ages 11-17 will go from 9:45-11:15. A final tournament will take place Aug. 5. Ladies City Tournament

The Ladies City Golf Tournament will be held July 17 at Chatata Valley and July 18 at Cleveland Country Club. MEN’S INVITATIONAL

The ninth annual Cleveland Country Club Men’s Invitational will take place July 20-21. Amateur golfers from Cleveland and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to earn points for the 2013 Chattanooga TPC Championship. The field is open to all amateur golfers and will consist of the first 144 paid entrants. The entry deadline is July 17 or until a full field is reached. The entry fee is $135 and includes two rounds of tournament golf, one practice round ranges balls and lunch Saturday and Sunday. Flights will be determined after the first round.
