Andrew “Chuck” Cain, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday morning, June 24, 2013, in a local health care facility.

He was the son of the late Naomi Newton Cain and Otis Cain. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Cain; brothers: Richard Cain, Buford Cain, and Alvin Cain; and sister, Wilma Mallory.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired truck driver who also worked painting houses. He was a gospel singer in a quartet and also enjoyed singing at the nursing home.

He is survived by his children: Martha Emerson and her husband, Danny, of Cleveland, Jean Kerns of Birchwood, Michael A. Cain and his wife, Patty, and Gary M. Cain; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Wilson and her husband, Danny, of Cleveland, Arlene Hysinger of Georgia and Darlene Raygor of Cleveland; a brother, Ken Cain of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, June 26, 2013, at Cookson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Emerson officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of arrangements.
